Splurges....

 I am a total sucker for a good, cute, CHEAP

pair of boots. SO, yesterday I splurged...T.J.Maxx is a bad bad influence on my shopping addiction. I mean I found some very cute boots for $25.00. Tell me you would have passed that up and I might feel a little bad that I went ahead and got them. You see...this will be about my 10th pair of boots to add to my collection. What can I say...I"M A SuCKER for a good pair of boots! Anyways....

Since it is a new year, of course I have many different resolutions in which I plan and hope I wll keep up with this year. One of my resolutions is to read the Bible through. Today, I had to play a little catch up. I read Genesis 27-33. It was almost like reading a little Biblical soap opera book. If you haven't you should check it out. As well as reading the Bible, my little lawyer friend gave me a a little devo. book which really leaves a person to thinking. The most recent devo put this world into a perspective in which all of us and myself should think about more often. What if a group of people, things, or aliens from another planet came to Earth to look for God because they heard we were made in His image. What would they find?....

Sadly, this is the perspective which would probably be seen. A drunk passed out under a freeway, drug dealers looking for their next fix, and then a restaurant full of people who do not smile or even act humane.

Makes you think and check yourself, right?

The leaves are changing!!!

This post is going to be in honor of fall. I love love love this weather! It has been around 65-70 degrees here and it feels sooooo good!! We went as far yesterday to leave our back door open all night. Just love! 


Here's a few things that reminded me of fall...

My roommate and I drove to Little Rock and we could see the leaves starting to change on our way there.

And of course... COFFEE!! I had mine outside this morning. (I know I'm an old person...) 

Well enough of that I did have a weekend project that I was working on, but I got a little sidetracked when football came on. =)

S0, My roommate and I ran to get a cabinet door and I am almost finished with it. Hopefully this week!

*Fall is in the Air*

 I can almost feel fall! You know the days when you can just smell fall, and can't wait for your next cup of Joe (or tea whichever you prefer). For once, I am actually ready for fall. I'm ready for the boots, sweaters, scarfs, and hoodies. Oh yes and don't forget the great comfy yoga pants tucked into UGGS. =)


UGGS are one of my favorite shoes for winter. Most say they are ugly and I'm not going to lie I was one of those people. Here's the hint. If you really want to keep hating them and say you would never wear some...don't ever try any on. Honestly, I don't care how ugly they look they are the little piece of warm heaven that my feet need and love during cold weather. So don't judge me. 


Here's things I can't wait for this fall and winter to wear. 

Scarfs of all different colors and patterns.

   
                               Boots...all different styles and colors.

                              Leather jackets and trench coats.
   
   Sweaters (cow neck, cardigans, and just the throw on sweaters) and Hoodies =)

Plus....

 Football!!!

So to sum everything up... I'm just ready for some fall. 

  Go have a cup of coffee... I think I will. 

Laaaaazzzyyyy Daaazzzeeee

I wish i could say that I have been productive this weekend. Truth. My roommates and I have watched the whole first season of Friday Night Lights, and literally that is all. We did watch the AR and TN games, but I don't want to talk about the TN game so let's move on...

Friday Night Lights. One word. Actually two: Addictive and amazing.
       



We did have to take a break last night from watching TV. All three of us sat on the curb outside our apt. until one in the morning. =)

Tomorrow it's back to the routine of things!

Tuesday... this weeks Monday?!?!

    Hope everyone had a wonderful and looonnngg weekend!!

 Although they always go waaayyy too fast.

I keep forgetting that today is Tuesday and not Monday.

 Luckily, I did remember to go to the right classes today. =) 

Even if it was dreary and felt like Monday I was on top

 of all my classes; successful day? Yes. 

A cup of coffee, only one class today,

 watch an episode of Gilmore Girls,and lunch with a friend! 

Here is something I worked on last week, 

but just finally got around to posting it. 

In our little on campus college apartment, we need 

something bigger than what we originally had, 

 to cover the wall over our couch. 

Being college students, we don't have a ton of money

 to spend on decor, so we improvise. 

We like changing the decorations every year,

 (we just get tired of it and boredom plays a role), 

and trying to come up with cute inexpensive ways to decorate. 

-Hobby Lobby was of course involved(always)! 

-Two foam boards that were about $1.99 each

-Acrylic paint

-Mod Podge

-Newspaper 

(Which was an adventure to find at 11 o'clock at night =) )

Here is the finished product!

I put the newspaper at the edges and crinkled them a little.

 It's a little hard to see the edges unless you see it in person.

 

My roommates liked it,

 but I never know if they just try to not hurt my feelings.

 haha! Hopefully they really do love it.
